Public Art on the T
Since 1967, the MBTA has been a strong advocate for incorporating public art into stations to honor community involvement and improve the experience of transit riders. The MBTA art program was the first in the nation and has served as a model for other cities. Currently, the MBTA collection contains over 90 art pieces on six transit lines. Use the links below to navigate through the MBTA collection and find out more about existing pieces. You can also find additional resources on the MBTA website.
